The Early Admissions Exercise for ITE students [EAE(I)] was introduced to cater to final-year Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students who wish to apply for polytechnic admission based on their sustained interests and who have demonstrated aptitudes relevant to the course, apart from their Grade Point Average (GPA).
The EAE-I for 2017 is open to ITE students in the final year of their Nitec or Higher Nitec courses in AY2016, including students who have completed their courses in June and September 2016.
To qualify for the EAE(I), you must have attain either:
You can apply for the EAE(I) (the Academic Year 2017 intake) from January 2017 to 16 January 2017. You can submit your application online through the EAE(I) Portal.
You may select up to three courses in order of preference in your online application. You must also provide a write-up for each choice which demonstrates your course-specific aptitude and interest.
The polytechnics will then call up shortlisted students for further assessment, such as interviews and/or aptitude tests, from 18 January 2017 to 3 February 2017.

You will be notified of your offer on 9 February 2017. You will have up until 14 February 2017 to indicate whether you accept or reject the offer via email. Should you fail to indicate your decision bythe deadline, your offer will lapse, i.e. you will be deemed to have rejected the offer.
Should your EAE(I) offer be confirmed, you will receive an enrolment package from the polytechnic in March/April 2017, with your course commencing in April 2017.
